We take pride in our high safety standards, and our products are designed to promote better ergonomics while improving operational productivity in hundreds of use cases.

Our Company History

BHS, Inc. was founded in 1979 by William M. Huber, who recognized the importance of lift truck efficiency in warehouse and industrial settings.

Mr. Huber established BHS to provide a dedicated resource for forklift battery extractors, charger stands, and other essential battery room products. Each new product was meticulously engineered for efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness.

The company built a strong reputation, gradually expanded its offerings, and grew to become the world’s largest manufacturer of forklift battery handling equipment. In 2014, we began to apply our expertise beyond the battery room.

Today, BHS, Inc. creates innovative material handling solutions for warehouses, manufacturing plants, electrical wholesalers, and other facilities with unique ergonomic challenges. We provide total solutions, including custom manufacturing, consultation, engineering, integration services, and long-term aftermarket support.

Through all its growth, BHS, Inc. has remained a Midwestern family-owned business. The second generation of Huber leadership began with William’s son James, who continues his father’s dedication to continual improvement.

We regularly reinvest in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and the people who make it work. For more than 45 years, the Hubers have created an environment of secure, stable employment for a team of over 100 experts.

We take pride in our superior products, and through advanced engineering practices and extensive product testing, we remain dedicated to the principles that built our business: Good partnership, innovation, and a tradition of quality.
