At BHS, we specialize in powder coat finishes, which offer a great combination of toughness and good looks. 

What is powder coating? It’s a unique method of coating surfaces that starts with dry pigment. We use an electrostatic charge to apply an even layer of powder across the equipment’s surface. Then we cure the powdered pigment with heat or UV radiation. 

The result is a smooth, hard, even coating that avoids the pitfalls of liquid paints. Here’s why powder coating provides the best finish for hard-working industrial equipment: 

• Durability. Powder coating goes on thick, and the pigments we use are built to resist acids, chemicals, and corrosion. As a result, powder-coat finishes protect equipment from rust, sunlight, chemicals, and moisture.
• Neatness. Liquid paint runs with gravity. It thins out in one section and pools in another. Powder coating creates a smooth, even surface everywhere — including undersides, edges, and corners. 
• Sustainability. Liquid paints contain chemical solvents, which evaporate as the paint dries. That’s a source of air pollution: volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. Powder coat finishes don’t emit any VOCs — and overspray is reusable, leading to less waste in the production process.
